Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a PT session last?

Sessions typically run 45 to 60 minutes. Your therapist will determine frequency — often 2 to 3 visits per week — based on your physician's order and your goals.

Can PT help prevent falls?

Absolutely. Fall prevention is one of the most important functions of home physical therapy. Your therapist will assess your balance, strength, and home environment to reduce fall risk.

Do I need a referral for physical therapy?

A physician's order is required to bill Medicare or insurance. We can coordinate with your doctor to get the referral in place if needed.

What should I wear for a PT session?

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and supportive footwear. Your therapist will guide you through exercises appropriate to your current ability level.
